2019 Ascent Is Largest Subaru Ever

Offering configurations for both seven or eight passengers, the 2019 Ascent is Subaru’s largest SUV ever. The three-row SUV boasts a roomy interior, flexible seating and storage options, as well as a wealth of safety and driver-assistance technologies.

Under the Hood

The 2019 Ascent is powered by a turbocharged 2.4-liter BOXER engine producing 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. All versions of the 2019 Subaru Ascent are paired with a high-torque Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission featuring an 8-speed manual mode function and steering wheel paddle shifters, as well as X-Mode with Hill Descent Control.

This powertrain enables the 2019 Subaru Ascent to tow 5,000 pounds, the most of any Subaru in the brand’s history.

Comfort & Convenience

Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and four-wheel independent suspension gives the 2019 Ascent the capability of an SUV with the handling of a car.

Up to eight USB charging ports are available, while the Touring edition includes a 120-volt power outlet. Nineteen cup and bottle holders are scattered throughout the interior of the three-row SUV.

Three zones of climate control also comes standard, along with reading lights for the second row. Ambient and footwell lighting further illuminate the interior.

Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology comes standard on every 2019 Ascent. EyeSight includes features like Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning and Pre-Collision Throttle Management.

There’s also the new EyeSight Assist Monitor, which provides a heads-up display of the EyeSight system warnings, as well as system status information, on the windshield of the vehicle.
