Powered by a 2.4-liter turbocharged BOXER engine, the 2020 Subaru Ascent generates 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque. Every version of the 2020 Ascent features a high-torque Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission with an eight-speed manual mode serviced by paddle shifters on the steering wheel. The Ascent also offers X-Mode with Hill Descent Control for added peace of mind.
Comfort & Convenience
Buyers have the option to enable 4G LTE Wi-Fi connectivity in their 2020 Ascent, allowing the vehicle to provide Internet service to occupants.
There’s also the option of SUBARU STARLINK connected services, like remote engine start via smartphone, concierge service and an anti-theft vehicle immobilizer. Parents of young drivers can opt for safety functions including geofencing, speed alert and curfew.
Safety
Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Pre-Collision Throttle Management and EyeSight Assist Monitor--which provides a heads-up display of EyeSight system warnings on the windshield--comes standard in every 2020 Ascent.
The available Safety Plus package features SOS emergency assistance, enhanced roadside assistance, automatic collision notification, maintenance notifications, a monthly vehicle health report and diagnostic alerts.
