2020 Ascent Is Largest Subaru Ever

Offering three rows of seating with a choice of seven- or eight-passenger configurations, the 2020 Subaru Ascent is the largest Subaru ever. And it comes in four different trim packages, four trim levels: base, Premium, Limited and Touring.

Under the Hood

Subaru’s Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Active Torque Vectoring and four-wheel independent suspension is standard on all trims. A turbocharged 2.4-liter BOXER engine cranks out 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque.

The high-torque Lineartronic CVT transmission features an 8-speed manual mode function with paddle shifters on the steering wheel, as well as X-Mode with Hill Descent Control.

Comfort & Convenience

Up to nine different seating configurations are available within the 2020 Ascent, and the vehicle offers up to 86.5 cubic feet of cargo space.

The 2020 Ascent offers the option of in-vehicle Wi-Fi connectivity across high-speed 4G LTE communications. Meanwhile, Subaru STARLINK Connected Services allows drivers to start the engine from their smartphone and features an anti-theft system that can immobilize the vehicle and turn on its safety flashers.

Subaru STARLINK also includes a concierge service, so drivers can get help setting dinner reservations and acquiring tickets.

The optional Safety Plus package provides emergency assistance, enhanced roadside assistance, automatic collision notification, maintenance notifications, diagnostic alerts and monthly vehicle health reports.

Safety

It wouldn’t be a Subaru if it wasn’t loaded with safety features, and the 2020 Ascent is no exception.

Subaru’s EyeSight driver-assistance technology comes on every trim level and includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Pre-Collision Throttle Management and EyeSight Assist Monitor which provides a heads-up display of EyeSight system warnings on the windshield.

Blind-Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, High Beam Assist and Reverse Automatic Braking are available as options.
