Exclusive exterior styling includes brand-new front and rear bumpers, a bold hexagonal front grille, more prominent wheel arch cladding, unique LED fog lights and an anti-glare hood decal in matte-black finish.

Under the Hood
The 2024 Wilderness is propelled by a 2.5-liter engine that delivers a responsive 182 hp and 178 Ib-ft of torque power.
Longer coil springs and shock absorbers give the SUV a 9.3-inch ground clearance—more than a half-inch over other Crosstrek models. Higher ground clearance makes the vehicle a choice companion for driving in snow drifts, eliminating the need to detour or wait for snowplows.
X-Mode is a driver selectable system that enables the Wilderness to adapt in challenging driving scenarios. In snow mode, it optimizes engine output, throttle response and torque distribution to minimize wheelspin on slippery road surfaces.
System also uses Hill Descent Control which automatically regulates vehicle speed when traveling in mountainous areas or descending steep snow covered roads. HDC maintains a safe and controlled descent, allowing drivers to focus on only driving the SUV without worrying about brake control.
Comfort and Convenience
The standard amenities on the all-new Wilderness include a high-resolution 11.6-inch multimedia interface, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, a tire pressure monitoring system and steering-responsive LED headlights offer better visibility in snowy conditions.
USB ports are located in the front and rear console. Dual zone automatic climate control allows passengers to set individual warmth preferences in freezing temperatures.
Premium accessories include audio streaming, Bluetooth hands-free connectivity, AM/FM stereo, satellite radio and a rear vision camera.
An optional All-Weather Package for the winter season adds heated front seats, a warm windshield, de-icer wipers, weather-resistant floor mats and remote engine start to ensure a cozy cabin awaits even on the coldest winter days.
The 2024 Wilderness is outfitted with a rugged ladder roof rack system with a dynamic load spread of 176 pounds. Load-bearing capacity allows families to enjoy and extend their outdoor excursions as the rack system can hold large rooftop tents and winter sports equipment.
