Subaru's 2024 Legacy offers two efficient engine choices, plenty of passenger room and industry-leading safety technologies.
Engineers have refreshed the longest-selling model with a new front-end design, prominent headlights, a widened grille, sportier accents and exclusive wheels.
Legacy Sport reflects a race car style with 18-inch sporty wheels, Magnetite side mirrors, red accents, dual stainless exhaust and a trunk spoiler for better handling at top speeds. The Interior comes in a classy two-tone cloth with sports upholstery and red contrast stitching.
Under the Hood
Entry-level trim accommodates a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that generates 182 hp and reaches a torque peak of 176 Ib-ft.
Sport Legacy is an exemplary choice for drivers looking for higher speeds. It has a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine and churns out 260 hp and 277 Ib-ft of torque.
With Auto Start-Stop technology, an 18.5-gallon fuel tank and maximum highway coverage of 640 miles, motorists can confidently embark on long journeys and autumn adventures.
The Legacy has an EPA rating of 27/35 mpg for city/highway driving. Fuel appraisals for the Sport trim are 21/31 mpg on city/highway.
Comfort and Convenience
Standard features include a dual 7-inch information display with receptive on-screen controls. Top screen handles the four-speaker audio system and the bottom interface manages climate control and an array of vehicle systems.

Subaru's Eyesight technology is a cache of driver assistance systems that provide safety in fluctuating summer and autumn conditions. Adaptive Cruise Control (maintains a safe distance from a preceding vehicle in slippery conditions (fallen leaves or autumn rains)
Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management (Avoids collisions with cars or pedestrians in low visibility conditions. Lane Departure and Sway Warning (Prevents unintended lane departures on wet roads from rains or tree leaves)
Exclusive standard safety features on Sport Legacy include Reverse Automatic Braking and DriverFocus Distraction Mitigation System. Reverse Automatic Braking uses cameras and ultrasonic sensors to detect objects or obstacles in reverse gear and applies automatic brakes to avoid impact.
DriverFocus Mitigation System boosts driving safety by monitoring a motorist's face and eyes through an infrared camera. The system identifies distraction or drowsiness and issues an audible alert to keep drivers focused on the road.
