Safety Tech Abounds in 2019 Crosstrek

New features and improved services highlight the 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, a crossover available in three trim levels: 2.0i base, 2.0i Premium and 2.0i Limited

Under the Hood

Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive comes standard on every 2019 Subaru Crosstrek. The 2.0-liter, four-cylinder Subaru BOXER engine churns out 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. Base and Premium trims offer the option of either a six-speed manual transmission or a Lineartronic Continuously Variable Transmission.

Premium and Limited trims enjoy the option of a Continuously Variable Transmission with a seven-speed manual mode function with paddle shifters on the steering wheel.

Crosstreks with Continuously Variable Transmissions enjoy X-MODE and Hill Descent Control, which enhances performance in off-road and low-traction conditions.

Comfort & Convenience

Integration with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto comes with every 2019 Subaru Crosstrek, a convenience that allows you to stream music and receive navigation directions via your smartphone.

Premium versions of the 2019 Crosstrek enjoy a 6.5-inch multimedia screen and CD player, as well as SiriusXM All Access Radio and SiriusXM Travel Link. An upgraded 8-inch multimedia screen offers voice-activated controls, while the 8-inch Multimedia with Navigation system features mapping powered by TomTom, a feature with voice-activated navigation and over-the-air updates.

Safety

Safety is a top priority for Subaru, and every 2019 Crosstrek trim has the option of the EyeSight suite driver-assistance technologies. EyeSight features include Pre-Collision Braking and Throttle Management, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, and Lane Keep Assist.

Subaru’s proprietary STARLINK in-vehicle technology offers owners a choice between three packages. The STARLINK Safety Plus package includes enhanced roadside assistance, SOS emergency assistance, automatic collision notification, maintenance notification, diagnostic alerts and monthly vehicle health reports.

The next step up is the STARLINK Safety Plus & Security Plus package, which includes all the features mentioned above, as well as remote start with climate control and heated seats, remote vehicle locator and stolen vehicle recovery service. This package also offers safety features for parents of young drivers, including boundary, speed and curfew alerts.

The top tier of STARLINK, known as the Concierge package, hosts all the STARLINK technology plus in-vehicle assistance with hotel and restaurant reservations, purchasing tickets to sporting events and scheduling service appointments.
