Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness
Subaru unveiled the all-new 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness with an improved drivetrain, outdoor inspired interior and expansive list of safety technologies.
Longer coil springs and shock absorbers give the SUV a 9.3-inch ground clearance—half-inch than other Crosstrek models.
All-terrain tires offer optimal performance in mud, gravel and snow for vehicle stability and providing passengers a smoother ride on tough trails. Exclusive body cladding and a revised towing capacity of 3,500 Ibs add to its rugged and adventure-ready SUV reputation.
Under the Hood
A 2.5-liter engine with 182hp and 178 Ib-ft of torque production powers the Crosstrek. Engineers have restored the Lineartronic CVT and installed a revamped differential gear ratio.
The modifications improve the SUV's climbing ability and optimize wheel traction at low speeds in slippery road conditions.
Comfort and Convenience
Subaru's dual-function X-MODE system is available on all Crosstrek Wilderness SUVs. Four individual drive modes–Snow, Dirt, Deep Snow and Mud–enhance engine output and CVT ratio positions for various driving conditions.
Feature includes a Roll-Angle Indicator that increases safety and control in challenging terrain. Off-roaders can also use the system to improve driving when approaching obstacles like rocks, ditches and inclines.
A ladder-type roof rack with 176 Ib load limit provides additional storage capacity to convey items and free up passenger cabin space. A detachable waterproof tray protects the cargo load floor from wet or muddy clothes and gear tossed in the storage area. The rear gate is fitted with an LED light for nighttime visibility.
All-new Crosstrek Wilderness has an 11.6-inch Multimedia Plus high-resolution touchscreen. This interactive system also works as a center information display with combination meter integration and on-screen controls for multiple car functions.
Features include wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, Bluetooth and audio streaming connectivity.
Safety
The 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness is built on Subaru's Global Platform--a ring-shaped reinforcement frame that absorbs car collisions.
SUV also includes dual-stage deployment front airbags, a driver knee airbag and a front passenger seat cushion airbag. Other additions are front-seat side impact airbags and side curtain airbags for front and rear outboard occupants.
An updated version of Eyesight Driver Assist Technology is available across the Crosstrek lineup. Eyesight technologies act like an extra set of eyes on the road and offer all-round passenger protection.
A highlight of the new version is the quick identification of bicycles or pedestrians with automatic activation braking support when required.
