This sixth generation Outback comes with Subaru’s core technologies, extra ground clearance, all-terrain tires and a more powerful engine. 

Under the Hood

Powering the Outback Wilderness is a 2.4-liter turbocharged Boxer engine that generates 260 horsepower and 277 pound-feet of torque at a low 2000 rpm. This turbo powerplant gives the Outback a 3,500 pound towing capacity.

Subaru’s EyeSight Driver Assist Technology, which includes Automatic Pre-Collision Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure and Sway Warning, Pre-Collision Throttle Management and EyeSight Assist Monitor--which provides a heads-up display of EyeSight system warnings on the windshield--comes standard in every 2020 Ascent.
